End of Act 0… Waw…

Act 0 was kind of like my “proof of concept” for myself. My brain is wired in a way that makes my memory bad, so if I stop doing something for more than a week, it’s like, was I really ever capable of doing it at all? But the habit came back quickly. I’m excited to make Basedt a part of my life for the next ~100 years probably.

I have scripted and thumbnailed (the first part of) Act 1, which will be coming to you… Uhhhhhhh…. At some point! You may notice Basedt’s update schedule just says “~whenever”, and I’m sticking to that. It’s more intuitive for me to work in batches, and I’m a full-time college student, so it’s also more healthy for me to avoid setting strict deadlines. Future Basedt updates will be announced on my social media, but new pages typically hit you quickest if you follow Basedt thru its RSS feed.

Rest assured, when the pages are ready, you will be the first to know o7

The monstrous bird in minimized form stands unblinking over a similarly minimized Morgan, who lays on the ground, a single, bewildered teardrop threatening to fall from his eye.

In the meantime, here’s a teaser of some walnuts you’re going to meet in Act 1…

Three figures trudging through the ash tundra. At the head of the procession is a broad-shouldered woman with fair hair that's braided back into a loose ponytail. She is dressed in a thick military coat with a large fur collar, and grips the sheath of a sabre at her side. Behind her is a slight girl with wide eyes that peer out from her dark, choppy bangs. She wears an oversized fur parka that obscures her silhouette, and strapped to her back is a nebulous bundle of something that's stained black. Bringing up the rear is a tall, masked figure with a huge, hooded shawl. His mask is white, with simple dots and lines for his eyes and mouth. It's expressionless and a bit uncanny.
