sir this is a wall
[Long description: The bird's pinions frame each panel of the comic, as Morgan comes upon the great South wall of Basedt. Two watchmen are climbing the clay stairs to the top of the wall, there.
One takes pause at the foot of the stairwell. They have a slight but spry frame, with a severe expression and two curly flyaways sticking out from underneath their headscarf. A single line is painted across the long bridge of their nose, and two horn ornaments hang like earrings from each side of their scarf. At their hip, they carry a long, curved sabre.
Morgan unceremoniously runs up and wheels around the stairwell, in pursuit of the bird. The watchman sputters, grabbing for their sword to stop him.]
sir this is a wall
those are some very striking feathers
the material culture of these people is interesting, the funky big earrings-like things, the pattern on the shield repeated on the other watchman’s clothes, even the way both their weapons end with the same sort of point
This is Suuuch an amazing use of framing, I love it!
